Next Autumn/Winter Haul

As we usually go away in May, by now I've already started stocking up on winter bits for Ava. For some reason I'm still trying to hold onto summer so hadn't given winter clothes a second thought, until the new next range came out.

I purchased a few bits in store and some online, I'll be doing a H&M haul for you too. There are some gorgeous bits around at the moment. I tend to shop in next for smarter pieces then will get other stuff from Primark and H&M for everyday wear, i.e leggings and jeans.

As you can tell, I'm loving a bit of floral at the moment!

Peppa Pig World

So it's been a while since I blogged, and for that I am sorry. Family life has been super busy of late.

This weekend was a bank holiday, and I booked some time off work and booked tickets to go to Peppa Pig World in Southampton.

We set off early Friday morning as its around a 3 hour journey from where we live. I got us 2 days in the theme park and 1 night in a hotel. We headed straight for the theme park and arrived around 11.45am. Peppa Pig World is a small section in a bigger theme park called Paultons Park.

Upon arrive we commented how nice the park looked as a whole, and how clean it all was. We grabbed a spot of lunch and headed off on some of the rides. I think the first one we went on was the balloon ride. It was quite busy so there was a fair amount of waiting in line for the rides.

At certain times Peppa and George come out to meet the kids, and throughout the day Suzy Sheep and Zoe Zebra go for a walk through the park.

There is a 'Muddy Puddles' splash park which Ava LOVED. Luckily it was nice and warm so she could go in, she had a blast.

We went back on the Saturday and won her a big princess pig teddy (£50 in the shops !!! ) I nearly one a second one too.

We went on a few rides first thing then headed off around the rest of the park, we did all of the peppa bit on the Friday. The rest of the park is pretty child friendly too, the were quite a few rides Ava could go on as she's over 1m tall. We all went on the log flume but she hated that and hid in between my legs, though once it was over she was laughing her head off and said she loved it.

We went back into the Peppa bit later on in the afternoon and woah it was so so so busy. I'm glad we'd already done all the rides the day before. We stopped at a pub at the end of the road for dinner before heading home. We both had pulled pork sandwiches and they were AMAZING!!

All in all we had a total blast and I'd love to go back next year too!!

Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain

After seeing tonnes and tonnes of people talking about these, I was really excited to see they'd finally made their way over to the UK.

My Internet was playing up at the time I was trying to order it and wouldn't load the photos, so I just picked from the names. Boots had an offer on of buy one get one half price. So I ordered 2. LA Exclusive and Barcelona Nights.

They're both shades of pink, LA exclusive being the lighter of the two. I saw a review saying you should apply them lightly and not put too much on at once, so that's how I applied it. At first I really wasn't sure, it seemed to go on a bit funny, slightly streaky I guess you could say. But a few rubs of the lips together and it blended together well.

They leave a really nice glossy finish to the lips, without being sticky, which I HATE. That's mainly why I tend to avoid gloss, as I really don't like my hair sticking to my lips.

The staying power was pretty good and left my lips feeling quite soft. I wish I'd have picked up more of a red shade though.

I love the packaging, it's very sleek.

Day trip to the beach

On Sunday Alesia invited us over to have a picnic on the beach with them. It wasn't until 11.30pm and I was at work, so I crazily said yes. I was at work til 4am, went home and grabbed a few hours sleep and got up at 9am. Chucked a load of stuff in a bag and off we went, it took me 2 and a half hours roughly each way.

There was a big air show on, so we didn't go to the main beach. The girls played so well together. Alesia had kindly made all the food.

Such a nice day.

Fun in the sun

We did a spot of shopping yesterday and Ava picked out this garden toy. It was only £4.99 from B&M so I let her have it. Its a mat with holes, and you connect your hose pipe so the water comes up and out of the holes, a bit like a sprinkler.
I was expecting the water to come up higher than it did, maybe it's our water pressure, I'm not sure. She had a good time playing with it though, and that's what counts.
