Skin Care Staples

It's only very recently that I have started taking more care of my skin.  I was always not interested in taking my make up off properly, prefering to quickly use a face wipe and jump into bed.
So here are the things I'm currently loving.

The Body Shop silky camomile cleansing oil. Wow, this product just melts my make up off! It's really gorgeous on the skin and removes all traces of make up.

The Body Shop Seaweed clarifying toner. I don't think I've ever used a toner, so I thought I'd start out with this one. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean.

Sarah Chapman skinesis overnight facial. After seeing a lot of raving reviews about this product. I just HAD to try it. It's really pricey, but I'm really happy with it overall. It smells amazing, very spa like. It leaves my skin silky smooth and hyrdated the following day. A love product.

Dermalogica daily microfoliant. I've actually had this for quite a while, but don't use it daily. When I use it regularly, my skin is so amazing, soft and clear. It clears out all my pores and seems to make them smaller.

The Body Shop vitamin E overnight serum. I brought this before the Sarah Chapman one, I have always been worried about using oils on my face, as I have quite oily skin. But now I know that oils are a good thing for your skin. I use this on the nights when I don't use the Sarah Chapman.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Cream. I use this in the morning or before my make up if I am going out on on evening

Lolas Wardrobe Tutu

I've been following this company on Instagram for a while and I just love their Belle tutu's so so much! With our upcoming trip to Italy looming I thought I'd order one.
I was utterly gutted to realise I'd missed the postman while I was upstairs on Saturday, so I had to wait until Monday to collect it.
It came packaged in a box, there was even a sweet little teddy in there, which Ava loved. The skirt is so big and full, its utterly gorgeous. I went for the colour Grey Mist.
You can find all their items here

So onto the photos

Hair Care Loves

About a year ago I wanted to take better care of my hair, and these are the products that have helped me get it into better shape

Coconut oil. Now this is a weird one. When my hair is feeling really really dry, I mix this with a small amount of argon oil, put it all over the bottom half of my hair and sleep with it on. In the morning I shampoo it a couple of times to make sure it's all out. The results are pretty amazing. My hair always feels so hydrated, soft and shiny. This is a must for anyone with dry hair.

Charles Worthington Volume and bounce texturising spray. When I have curled my hair, I spray a bit of this through my roots to give it a bit more volume and make it less flat. Some people don't like it as it's a bit like a hairspray so can leave hair a bit hard, but I actually like that it gives quite a good hold. I have quite a lot of hair so it can be weighed down easily.

Moroccan oil. I use this mostly after I've washed my hair, only on the ends. It softens the ends of the hair up beautifully. I also sometimes run a bit through my hair with my fingers after its been styled to give me a bit more shine should I need some.

Label m, protein spray. I've heard so many good things about this brand and specifically this product. They had an offer on so I brought it about 2 months ago. It's said to help you're hair grown and thicken. It's basically food for you hair. It's also a heat protectant. I put this onto damp hair all over the roots and down to the ends. I've not noticed an improvement in the length yet, but with a combination of all these things, my hair is in a really good condition.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet

I recently saw these on a couple of youtube channels and knew I had to try them.  I've not had many matte lip products and the ones I have tried I've hated as they've dried my lips out too much

The shades I got were Pink Pong, Hot Pepper and Peach Club

I put Pink Pong on as soon as I got back to my car.  It dried quite quickly and wasn't drying on my lips at all.  Once it was fully dry I forgot I'd got it on, so when I got home after around 4 hours I was really shocked to find it looked as perfect as when I had first applied it.  I'd even eaten and had drinks too.

Would 100% recommend. Most places have offers on at the moment so grab them now.

I AM SO IN LOVE!

It's so so pretty and looks lovely on, the details to the top of the dress are just gorgeous. It was from the New Look inspire range and costs £59.99

What do you think ?

Mac Warm Neutral Palette

I was first introduced to Mac Cosmetics by a friend of mine, who booked me a makeover at their counter in Selfridges Birmingham. I have since been in love with their make up.

I've always been the type of girl to buy the cheapest products as I've never been into make up that much, Mac has changed that. I now realise that products are more expensive for a reason.  They usually give a better result and last much longer.

Some cheaper products however still do a brilliant job, but sometimes it's just nice to have a bit of luxury.

Anyway, onto the review.

I've wanted a Mac palette for a while now, but they can work out quite expensive when building your own. So their pre built ones are perfect. I'm a pretty neutral person with eye shadows so they are perfect for me.  I went for the Warm one (Buy here) opposed to the cool one. They're £65.

There are 15 shades, ranging from light to dark, with a good mix of matte and shimmer colours

The colours are as follows:
Hey
Warm breeze
Gingersnap
Dark Brew
Dance In The Dark
Brule Vanilla Extract
Honey Lust
Amber Lights
Saddle
Lemon Tart
Butter Fudge
Creative Copper
Unwind
Divine Decadence

As with all Mac eye shadows, they are all highly pigmented and blend easily, looking beautiful on the lid.

I'm really enjoying using this palette and it's very handy to have all good shades in one place. There isn't one I wouldn't use.

Dressing up

It's my nieces birthday this week and Ava has been invited to a fancy dress party over the weekend.  So I popped to the shops and found a little outfit for her to wear

I wish the weather would make up its mind too, one minute it's raining heavily, the next its glorious sunshine, which calls for cool shades

ITALY

My brother is getting married in Italy at the start of July, I've managed to get me and my parents on a short 3 night trip over there as we all already have other holidays booked for later on in the year.

They have asked me if I will take the photos, and I'm so so so scared I'll mess them up! She's always loved the photos I've taken, and knows I'm no professional. I just hope they end up ok and I don't miss any important shots.  In one way I'm pretty excited to see if I can do it.

It's going to be a tiring three days I think.  Ava is going to be a flower girl, so that will be nice.  I can't wait to see all the dresses for everyone

Which brings me on to: what do I wear? Being a plus sized girl makes it a million times more difficult to chose something.  A lot of formal dresses seem to be black, which would be hot and I'm not that keen on wearing black to a wedding.

I have ordered this to try on

It should be here tomorrow and I'm going shopping with my mum tomorrow to see what we can find

It's going to be very strange going away without my husband, he can't get any more time off
